What Is Realistic ReEntry 

Realistic Reentry is Pittsburgh’s first restorative based consulting firm. We enhance human relationships & communication required to improve program and policy outputs in addition to providing a culturally competent top-down & bottom up perspective that will intensify the richness of ideas and problem-solving capabilities of your team.

Acknowledging the historical context of relationships among society and those who offend is the corner-stone of our work. We have extended the theoretical underpinnings of restorative practices to include: the delivery of services focused on authentic client engagement, increasing collaboration among organizations, and culturally competent perspective in the planning process.

Our mission is to reduce the dissonance among social service efforts and that serve communities, while presenting the opportunity to truly diversify the human capital of social service organizations, government agencies, employers, and foundations.

Realistic ReEntry emphasizes the historical context of relationships among society and those who offend in our project planning and design. We provide a restorative approach to promote solidarity and stability among organizations on the micro, mezzo, and macro systems level.

Micro Level

Literature suggest that Black males have an overall distrust for social service providers, and feel that they will be disrespected and disregarded as “objects, stereotypes, suspects, and deviants. We can eliminate the barriers social work professionals, service providers and agencies encounter.

Mezzo Level 

Our experts have a strong history as community organizers and activists work on the local level to create positive social change. Check our initiatives to learn more.

Macro Level

May 30, 2018 the need to reduce racial barriers in the nonprofit sector in Pittsburgh was adressed in Race to Lead: Confronting the Nonprofit Racial Leadership Gap, event held at the Highmark Auditorium, Downtown. Realistic ReEntry provides a top-down and bottom up culturally competent perspective will intensify the richness of ideas and problem solving capabilities of your team.

Raymond Miles

Mr. Miles holds a BASW & CNC and facilitates the ReEntry412 Initiative: dedicated to mastering the art of collaboration across non-profits, government agencies, and educational institutions. 

Reggie Good

Mr. Good is the recipient of various distinguishing awards including: Community Impact Award (2011), Blazing Emerging Leader Award (2012), and Fab 40 Award Recipient (2013). 

Taili Thompson

Mr. Thompson is recognized as a leader, and activist in the Allegheny County region. Mr. Thompson found the nonprofit Youth Opportunities Development (Y.O.D.) 2012.
